India Aims for $5 Trillion Economy by End of 2025

 


Union Home Minister Amit Shah expressed confidence that India will achieve a $5 trillion economy by the end of 2025. Addressing the Uttarakhand Global Investors Summit, he attributed this growth to the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Shah highlighted India's rise from the 11th to the fifth-largest economy globally between 2014 and 2023 and emphasized initiatives like 'Make in India' and climate change leadership as key drivers of economic progress.

Shah also pointed to the doubling of India's per capita income over the past decade and the upliftment of over 135 million people from poverty during this period. He emphasized the importance of rural development, stating that prosperous and self-reliant villages are essential for national prosperity.
